This assemblage incorporates a Coolidge rotating anode X-ray tube found in a yard sale from former physician who used it for diagnostic use. It was manufactured by Machlett Laboratories Inc. of Springdale Connecticut., circa 1960s. It is a dual focus tube, which incorporates two cathode filaments: a small one to produce a small focal spot (e.g., 1 mm x 1 mm) that would provide maximum image detail, and a large one to produce a large focal spot for higher loading.
