Batman Typewriter
Turn-of-the-century batwing typewriter produced by Oliver Typewriter Company, est. 1896.

Found in the back of someone's garage around Halloween. I searched for the appropriate Batman mask, and in the process of searching, found a Plasma bulb, and was struck with the notion to use the Snoopy line "It was a dark and stormy night" by George Schultz--as if lighting bolts were flashing across the sky while, Alfred, Batman's trusty butler, cleaned up after his various escapades. Incorporating plasma lights, gothic candles, and origami bats, this sculpture is turned on via sound.
Fully functional, just needs new ribbon.
